Sunday Snippets

This week has been about taking advantage of a day off to cruise, cooking and catching up on some reading.  So much for all the sewing that I was going to squeeze in.
 A lovely morning view.
 Something worth investigating.
 Making pesto from homegrown basil.
 My favourite models.
A glorious sunset from the deck.
The start of a cruisey day at my favourite watering hole (with a coffee, of course!).

I hope your week was as enjoyable as mine.

Tinnie Girl is taking a break from blogging so I'll be interested to see if anyone takes up the mantle of hosting this fun weekly theme.

Sunday Snippets

After a bit of the break, back to the lovely regular blog themes that get you thinking about the week that was.
A fun dinner with visitors from America, family and friends.
I didn't think we needed a coffee machine but even just one decent brew a day at home makes it worthwhile.
In a world of Masterchef, molecular gastronomy and other fancy schmancy dishes, the humble raspberry and coconut slice still holds its own.
Some vintage loveliness that we have on long term loan until its owner comes back to claim it.

See what others have been up to over here.

Sunday Snippets

Better late than never!
 All happy at the circus.
Having a bite with old friends at one of our favourite places.
Trying to include some healthy treats in the Christmas excesses.
We don't like the OTT aspect of Christmas but couldn't resist these pretty lanterns.
I raced through this latest 'must read' book and it had me in most of the way, but like most blockbusters, the ending was disappointing.  The plot was a bit too clever for its own good.

Thanks to Tinnie Girl for hosting Sunday Snippets.

Sunday Snippets

Having a cool beverage on a scorching day, overlooking the water.
On the way back from a rare trip over the bridge.
I do love the modern look of STLT HQ, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live in a lovely period house like this.
After nearly two years of leaves, we now have lilies.
Some new kitchen equipment required to make frozen mango lassis.  With the inclusion of white rum, this might be a new summer favourite.

Sunday Snippets

Just back from a weekend away with lovely friends.  A bit of eating, drinking and shopping in Bendigo and surrounds but sadly it's over and we are back to work tomorrow.
What a lovely way to start your morning.
The beautiful conservatory at Bendigo.
Enjoying dinner at the Enoteca Dispensary.
A weekend away isn't complete without a cocktail.
Look at the beautiful Art Nouveau lettering at this former bank in Kyneton.
Part of the haul from the inevitable stops at antique and secondhand dealers.

Sunday Snippets

I think I might have just made the deadline.  What a week!  Trying hard to be good after a lot of eating out with friends and family over the last few days, only to do it again next weekend

Photos never do justice to a rainbow.
Hard to believe that this lovely restaurant is just minutes away from          the urban sprawl.
We have really given Mexican food a good go but it just doesn't do it          for us.
It's the simple things that make us happiest.
He knew I couldn't wait for this to hit our TV screens.

Hope your week was fun too.  Over to Tinnie Girl for more Snippets.

Sunday Snippets

It has been a week of ups and downs - worrying about our peeps in New York, relief at getting to the finish line at the day job and hosting some junior members of the family here for a visit.  Looking forward to a well deserved rest on the day that stops the nation.
A beautiful day down the Tasmanian end of Collins Street.
A household that got into the spirit of things.
 Something pretty amongst the weeds.
The girls have never been so spoilt for attention.

Sunday Snippets

With Stos away last week, it was girls night out every night.
 Another mass of spring colour.
It looks very James Bond, but just a bit of maintenance - I think?
Some good news for a family member.
Some pasta, tomatoes, olives and anchovies - simple and fresh is always best.

Hope you all had a great week as well.  Check out what others have been up to over here.
